I've been trying to get two apps, akaRemote and MRMR, to work with my DAWs via the OSC protocol (which works in MAX/MSP, Bidule, Reaktor etc.), but I haven't yet been able to get a decent wifi connection (with the proper ports on my desktop, probably because of all the routing, firewalling etc. There is an active hacking/programming scene, a decent underground toolchain, and beta 2 of the SDK was just released.įor now, as to using the iPhone as wireless touchscreen controller: yes you can! Apparently, at least. Hey, a couple of years ago my whole DAW system ran on less than 677 gHz and 64mb RAM. The iPhone / iPod Touch are running some twisted version of MAC OSX and has the proper networking and user interface hardware. Yes that would be sweet! And it CAN be done, we're NOT dreaming here, merely having some vision. ![]()
